Unique yet functional design and technology integrations, such as kinetic light installations along corridor walls, encourage gentle movement and cognitive engagement as residents trigger soft light patterns through walking—supporting neuroplasticity and spatial awareness. Natural daylight floods the interior, complemented by windowsill sensory gardens with herbs and textured plants that invite touch, scent, and personalized interaction through gardening or quiet activities like chess. These design features transform daily living into an organic, holistic experience—stimulating memory, promoting safety, and longevity.

In contrast, the "before" environment—with its fluorescent lighting, beige walls, and a lack of greenery—created visual fatigue, isolation, and cognitive stagnation.
